My Story
From Leading Others to Finding My Own Way.
For most of my career, I was the one helping others grow—leading teams, transforming cultures, and developing leaders inside complex healthcare organizations. I knew how to drive results. I knew how to lead change. And then, everything changed.
As a breast cancer survivor, I found myself facing a different kind of challenge—not just getting through treatment, but figuring out who I was on the other side of it. Like many high-performing leaders, I was used to being strong, capable, and in control. But after cancer, the questions were different:
Do I want the same life?
What actually matters now?
What comes next—for me?
I realized something important: There is a lot of support for getting through disruption—but very little support for what comes after.
Why I Created Brave North
A New Direction Became My Purpose.
What I experienced personally, I had also seen professionally. Executives navigating major transitions are often expected to keep performing at a high level, even when their internal clarity has shifted. And organizations feel the impact when leadership becomes stretched or disconnected.
